Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. The Muay Thai is taught from basics - no experience needed, no expectation to keep up.

  • No. Eighth is for any woman who feels like something has happened to them that they haven't fully processed — whether that was recent or years ago, whether other people know about it or not, whether it feels "serious enough" or not. You don't need a diagnosis, a label, or a story you're ready to tell. If something brought you here, that's enough.

  • No. The circle is an invitation, not a requirement. You won't be asked to share your story or talk about what you've been through. Conversation stays within the session's theme — you share as much or as little as feels right, or just listen. Most people don't share the details of their experiences. It's more a space to release something, without judgement, amongst people who get it.

  • Eighth works well alongside therapy but it isn't a crisis service. If you're in an acute place right now, we'd gently suggest speaking to a professional first. If you're unsure, drop us a message and we can talk it through.

  • Just comfortable clothes you can move in and a water bottle. We provide everything else.

  • We occasionally photograph and film workshops for social media and our website, but we always ask before the session starts. You can opt out completely — no explanation needed. If you'd rather not be in anything, just let us know and we'll make sure of it.
